Dave and Missy first met back in 2018 when they had their first date at Dark Harbor on the Queen Mary (oddly enough, Missy’s parents got married on the Queen Mary). Dave wanted to share his love of all things Halloween, especially spooky mazes. It was fun, but the timing didn’t seem right. Dave saw something special in Missy the moment they met even through she had cowboy boots and a jeans skirt on. As we all know, Dave hates country music. They drifted apart, but Dave felt that something was special about Missy.
Fast forward to 2020 during a global pandemic. Missy had a dream about the goofy Halloween guy named Dave, and the next day he texted her! It must have been fate. The country was shut down and all they could do was talk on the phone. And they did! Every night for hours, asking questions and getting to know each other. Then in May of 2020, Dave insisted on seeing Missy for her birthday. They hung out wearing Covid masks, of course. From there, they got closer and closer. They made it official in August.
In April 2024, Dave proposed at the top of Multnomah Falls in Oregon. After a tough hike, Missy said yes! They've faced a pandemic, traveled, making Halloween mazes, and are now ready for their next chapter: "marriage".
